ALSET mobile solar trailer hitched to a tractor at a rural farm site

One Unit. Every Pump. Anywhere.

Who is ALSET for?

ALSET is built for farms, trusts and institutions that run more than one pump, well or building without reliable grid power. One tractor-towed solar unit with battery storage moves between fields, runs 5 to 7.5 HP three-phase pumps by day, and keeps lights, fans and even ACs on after dark, replacing several diesel generators. Farmer groups and rural entrepreneurs can also run it as a shared power service for neighbouring farms.

Large farms, trusts and rural institutions rarely have just one power need. They run several pumps across scattered wells, plus sheds, offices and housing on the same land. With no reliable grid, every site ends up with its own diesel generator: fuel deliveries, breakdowns and rising costs at each one.

Without dependable energy, farmers often struggle to irrigate crops at the right time, preserve harvests, and maintain consistent productivity. These challenges not only reduce agricultural output but also limit economic opportunities and contribute to ongoing cycles of energy dependence and financial insecurity.

Reliable power is more than a convenience—it is the foundation for food security, economic growth, and resilient rural communities. Yet for many farmers, energy remains one of the biggest barriers to achieving long-term independence.

The Problem

The core of our impact lies in mobile, modular microgrids—sustainable hubs that combine high-efficiency solar panels, long-life battery storage, and smart energy management software. Unlike fixed infrastructure, these units are rapid-deployment ready, scalable to meet growing needs, and operate in total silence with zero local emissions.

Instead of a fixed pump on one well or a diesel generator at every site, one ALSET unit is towed to wherever power is needed: irrigating fields by day, then running facilities, lighting and equipment after sunset. At BGM Foundation, a single unit now powers three irrigation pumps across 350 acres and keeps the facility's lights, fans and ACs running.

"The ALSET microgrid was a beacon of hope for us. Having steady energy means we can care for our neighbors at all hours, keeping vital supplies safe. It is more than just hardware; it is the heartbeat of our local community."
